Started (revived?) in 2007, Evergreen Ultimate is suuuper committed to competitive play, sweet layouts, havin' fun, and the Spirit of the Game.
2007-2008
The team was created! Through the herculean struggles of captain Will Weatherford, a small but hardy band of plastic-chasers was rummaged from the Evergreen student body. Braving rain, snow and wind, the team practiced all through the winter weather, slowly growing in numbers. The team proved their mettle in a series of scratch matches against their bitter rivals, Timberline High School and their notorious leader, Mr. Clark. Tired of such meager challenges, Evergreen set their sights on league play... and glory!League play proved to be an amazing growing experience for the Evergreen team. The season began with a shocking upset by intimidatingly orange Timberline, to whom Evergreen had never lost. Singed by bitter defeat, Evergreen trained harder. Evergreen played well over the rest of the season, with the exception of a crushing 2-15 lost against Scissorhands. Finals rolled around with Evergreen seeded third. A hard-fought comeback against Au delivered Evergreen to the final for a rematch against Scissorhands. After going down early, the game looked to be a repeat of their previous encounter. However, Evergreen rallied and took the game 15-13 in an epic battle the likes of which have never been seen since the war for the Silmarils.
Although there won't be anymore games until Fall, for Evergreen, there is no offseason.
